JOSH KEMP

1) How old were you when you started writing music?

I was probably about 8 when I started writing, I was really into Blue and Busted so I used to write boy band songs and perform them for my family... I feel so, so sorry for them.

2) Who has supported you the most throughout your music career?

To be fair my family have always been really supportive through whatever i do, whether its buying me my first guitar aged 9 to supporting me at gigs :)

3) What's the most weirdest thing a fan has said to you?

I had a fan a last year who claimed we should be together and that she would 'make me happy'... Creepy

4) Justin Bieber or One Direction?

I choose a firing squad ;)

5) Where do you want to be in  2 years time within the music industry?

Ultimately my dream is to sell out an arena tour, so in two years I'd love to be performing to thousands of fans every night!

6) Who is the most talented artist in your opinion (famous or non-famous)?

One of my favourite artists for diversity is Plan B who seems to try his hand at almost anything and he's good at it, and I massively respect that!

7) Which artist would you like to do a collaboration with?

I'm in the process of writing a song with a female artist from Leicester at the moment, writing a song about the struggles of two genders living together, I'm massively excited for this song so keep an eye out!

8) Would you rather star in one movie (musical) or a West End production?

I'm quite a large fan of musicals and have done a few short films in the past so I genuinely wouldn't mind either :)

9) Which indie/up-coming artist would you recommend your audience to listen too?

Saint Raymond definitely, he's a Nottingham lad but i genuinely connect with his music, he's definitely one to watch!

10) Do you think found•my•music should be an award like the Brits? ;)

haha definitely! lets make it as part of an East Midlands Music Award :P

11) Have you heard of a genre you would like to try?

I love trying different genres and spend a lot of time messing about with house music and classical music

12) Keyboard or Piano?

Piano, easily! Beautiful instrument :)

13) If you were in a band, what would you call it?

I'm not sure but the best band name I ever saw was a band in the North West called 'Dinosaurs are
S*** Dragons'. There's no beating that!

14) Which Brit award would you want to be nominated for e.g. best British solo act?

To be fair I don't really follow awards ceremonies, and I'm not really interested in them, for me the buzz
has always been performing live

15) Which is the best venue you've played at?

So far, my best venue has been performing on a pop up stage on Nottingham Market Square in front of
18,000 people for the Olympic torch ceremony

SIDDY BENNETTT

1) What would be your dream venue to perform in and why?

It's not really a venue, but I would love to play the pyramid stage at Glastonbury Festival. I cant imagine the rush you would get playing to a crowd that size.

2) What was the one event that got you where you are today?

I think its a series of events, but I feel like the turning point was when we supported Robert Plant in Bristol and Wolverhampton.

3) What do you like best about performing in a band?

I like bearing your heart and soul to an audience. Singing is therapeutic.

4) What made you want to choose music as career instead of just a hobby?

My dad is a jazz musician so it runs in our family. I always wanted to do it professionally, I just always knew it was what I was going to do.

5) Which artist would you like most to collaborate with (famous or non-famous)?

There are so many, a lot of my heroes and heroines are dead. I think right now I'd love to song-write and perform with The Lumineers. It would be so cool to write a duet with Wesley Schultz.

6) At first, was it hard to break into the music industry?

It's extremely hard. not only do you have to meet the right people, but you have to practice, gig and constantly write songs so you are always improving yourself. You are competing with the best, so we put all our effort into it. It's pretty much all I do.

7) Does your style choice influence the way your stage presence and audience? Why?

I don't think so. I think it all ties together. The songs we write are very personal, so its makes sense that it matches our style. We have had some people turning up in flower head bands and singing along. Does that count?

8) Did you have to work on your stage presence or does it come naturally?

We have done so many gigs so I think it just builds naturally. One thing I did work on was controlling my nerves. I usually sit behind the stage and make myself relax, the gigs are always better if I'm not nervous.
9) Which artist do you look up to in the music industry?

I admire people who have stayed in the music industry for a long time. I guess that's what I dream of, longevity. I've always looked up to Alanis Morrisette because she is a head strong, smart woman who writes incredible music and stands up for what she believes in. I would love to hang out with her.

10) What advice would you give to up and coming artists trying to break into the industry?

Stay strong, and believe in what you do. If you have passion it rubs off on people, it's infectious. And also don't sign anything too soon!

JOSH DOYLE

1) What is it like being an up and coming artist?

Being an up and coming artist is cool because you're a new thing and people are excited about you. the bad thing is you have it harder to get a tour because you don't have as many fans as established artists since not as many people know you yet.

2) How do you feel when you present your music to the world?

That is where I get most of my enjoyment because you can on people's faces that they are having a good time or being moved by what I am singing and playing!

3) What techniques do you use to sing with control?

I think it is all about practice and building those muscles up. Your voice is shaky when you move outside of your comfort zone, just as your arms are shaky when you carry something too heavy. For me, I do warm ups and that is mainly so I don't lose my voice.

4) How long did it take for you to learn the guitar?

I taught myself and by about three months of practicing every day I never lost the ability.

5) Do you still have barriers when playing the guitar?

I wish I could play lead guitar faster. I practice a little but I spend most of my time writing songs.

6) Have you ever done a duet? if yes, who?

Only in a live concert with Imogen Heap

7) How long have you been into music?

Since I was maybe 9 or 10. I used to sit by the radio and listen to the charts every week!

8) Which song of yours is your favourite?

Not sure, right now I like ''I Figured the World Out'' and there are new songs that I am writing that I like a lot such as; ''Long Distance Runner''.

9) Which celebrity inspires you the most?

Well anyone can be a celebrity but it takes more to be an artist. As artists go, I am inspired by people who keep making relevant music like David Bowie or Paul Weller. I do also like Jennifer Lawrence as a celebrity though...
